The Mission of klarity.
Klarity seeks to help people develop their power to perceive critically the way they exist in the world with which and in which they find themselves in order to see the world not as a static reality but a reality in the process of transformation. We invite all to participate, reason for themselves, and discover the humanizing power of thought to negate accepted limits and open the way to a new future.
The Practice of Freedom
Inspired by the works of Paolo Freire, the Brazilian educator taught peasants in Brazil how to read through a problem-posing educational style built upon dialogue between educator and student. In this way they become jointly responsible for a process in which all grow. The dialogical method breaks the vertical transferal of information pattern characteristic of the teacher-to-student and creator-to-consumer model. Klarity seeks to develop this dynamic educational methodology that utilizes education as the practice of freedom; the means by which people deal critically and creatively with reality and discover how to participate in the transformation of their world towards ever new possibilities of a fuller and richer life individually and collectively.
